Pharmacological properties

Oxytetracycline – bacteriostatic antibiotic which affects ribosome of bacteria than suppresses synthesis of microbial proteins. The drug has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity, it susceptible gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Staphyllococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Rasterella spp., Vrucella spp., Sorunebacterium spp., Salmonella spp., Erysipelothrix ins., Escherichia coli, etc.), and as actinomycetes, spirochetes, rickettsia and chlamydia; inactive for Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Application

Treatment of cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs; dogs, cats and rabbits suffering from dermatitis, in wounds of different origin and other skin diseases that are caused by organisms susceptible to oxytetracycline.

Batching

Before applying the ointment is mixed and this site carefully cleaned of hair, foreign bodies, exudate, necrotic material.
