Pharmacological properties

Enrofloxacin belongs to the fluoroquinolone group and has broad spectrum antibacterial action. It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including: E. coli, Klebsiella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Haemophilus spp., Bordetella spp., Campylobacter spp., Erysipelothrih spp. , Corynebacterium spp., Actinobacillus spp., Clostridium spp., Bacteroides spp., Fusobacterium spp., and mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma spp.). The mechanism of action of antimicrobial enrofloxacin is associated with inhibition of enzyme activity gyrase that affect DNA replication in the nucleus of the bacterial cell.

Usege

Treatment of calves and piglets colibacillosis, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, atrophic rhinitis, enzootic pneumonia, pneumonia, enteritis and other diseases caused by organisms susceptible to enrofloxacin.

Dosage
