СOMPOSITION

A tablet (0.8 g) contains the active sub­stance: albendazole – 75 mg.

Flat cylindrical tablets of white or light yellow color.

PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS. ATCvet QP52A, anti-distomiasis, anti-nematodosis and an­ti-cestodiasis veterinary drugs (ATCvet QP52AC11, albendazole).

Albendazole – broad-spectrum anthelmintics of benz­imidazole group, which has high activity against nema­todes (both mature and immature forms), parasites in the gastrointestinal tract and the lungs of animals: Ani­sakidae, Ancylostomatidae, Ascaridae, Dictyocaulidae, Oxyuridae, Protostrongylidae, Strongylidae, Syngami­dae, Trichuridae, Trichonematidae, Trichostrongylidae etc. Albendazole is also effective against some families of cestodes (Avitеlliпіdae, Anoplocephalidae, Taeniidae) and mature trematodes (Fasciolidae, Dicrocоelidae).

APPLICATION. Deworming of cattle, small ruminants (sheep and goats), horses, pigs, dogs, cats and birds with nematodes lesions (mature and immature forms), some types of cestodes and trematodes.

DOSAGE. should be given  orally, once, mixed with food before the morning feeding in doses given in the table.The dose for birds is divided into two equal parts and set at intervals of 24 hours. In the case of esophagostomiasis and tricho­cephaliasis after 12-24 hours after giving the drug it is necessary to give similar dose of the drug. When graz­ing preventive and therapeutic deworming is carried at the beginning and at the end of farmyard period.

CONTRAINDICATIONS. It is not advisable to use the drug for females during the first month after insemination.

PRECAUTIONS. After the last injection slaughter of ani­mals for meat is permitted: cattle, sheep, goats – in 7 days, pigs – 10 days bird – 2 days. Using the internal organs of animals (liver, lung, heart) is allowed: pigs – after 35 days, ruminants and poultry – 20 days. Milk of lactating animals can be eaten in 2 days after the last use of the drug.

STORAGE. In a dry, dark place at the temperature up to 30°C.

Expiration date – 3 years from the date of manufacture.
