Composition

1 ml of the drug contains the active substance:

Fenbendazole 150 mg

Excipients: up to 1 ml.

Pharmacological properties

ATCvet QP52A, protivotrematodoznye, protivonematodoznye protivotsestodoznye and veterinary medicines (ATCvet QP52AC13, fenbendazole).

The mechanism of action of fenbendazole is associated with impaired energy metabolism, disruption of microtubules digestive cells and the appearance of neurotoxic effects in helminths. Fenbendazole also adversely affects the larvae of different stages, disrupts the integrity of the helminth eggs shells. The latter, if released into the environment, are not capable of further development.

Application

Treatment and prevention of parasitic diseases in horses caused by nematodes families Ascaridae, Strongylidae, Strongyloididae, Oxyuridae ,, Trihostrongylidae, species Distyocaulus spp., Parafilaria multipapillosa, Onchocerca larvae and cervicalis Gastrophilus spp.

Dosage

The drug is administered once via a syringe to a tube-tongue root in a dose of 1 ml per 20 kg of animal body weight. However, with the invasion caused by the larvae of Trichostrongylus axei and Gastrophilus spp. The drug is administered in the same dose again after 1 day. Preventive de-worming of adult horses is recommended to be done once in 3-4 months.

Warnings

Slaughter animals for meat is allowed 14 days after the last use of the drug. In the case of forced slaughter before the deadline meat is used only for feeding carnivorous animals or for the manufacture of meat-bone meal.
