Description

Orange or red liquid with brilliant opalescence. Precipitate is assumed.

Composition

1 ml of the product contains APIs (mg):

tylosin in calculation on the basis – 10;

carbocholine – 0,05;

beta-carotene – 0,4.

Additional substances: propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, distillated water – up to 100 ml.

Clinical pharmacology

Atikar has a broad-spectrum antimicrobial effect, promotes renewal of cows’ contractile metra function, suffering from post-partum purulo-catarrhal endometritis and promotes regeneration of endometrium.

Like other macrolide antibiotics, tylosin inhibits bacteria by binding to the 50S ribosome and inhibiting protein synthesis. Spectrum of activity is limited primarily to gram-positive aerobic bacteria. Clostridium and Campylobacter are usually sensitive. The spectrum also includes the bacteria that cause BRD. Escherichia coli and Salmonella are resistant. In pigs, Lawsonia intracellularis is sensitive.

Carbachol (Carbastat, Carboptic, Isopto Carbachol, Miostat), also known as carbamylcholine, is a cholinomimetic drug that binds and activates the acetylcholine receptor. Carbachol is a choline carbamate and a positively charged quaternary ammonium compound. It is not well absorbed in the gastro-intestinal tract and does not cross the blood–brain barrier. Carbachol is a parasympathomimetic that stimulates both muscarinic and nicotinic receptors. carbachol is a strong promoter of ICC activity, which is mediated through the calcium-activated chloride channel, anoctamin 1.

Beta-carotene.  Absorption: Completely absorbed normally. Steatorrhoea, bile deficiency, and protein poor diet adversely affects the absorption and absorption requires bile salts, pancreatic lipase, and dietary fat.
Distribution: Stored primarily as palmitate in kupffer`s cells in liver. Circulates in the form of specific alpha-1 protein; retinol binding protein and transported to cellular retinol binding protein of target cells.
Metabolism: Metabolized in the liver.
Excretion: Excreted mainly through bile and a small amount is excreted through urine.

Application

For strengthening of metra’s contractile function post partum and treatment of purulo-catarrhal endometritis at different disease state. It was recorded a positive influence on mucosae of canalis obstetricus.
