Pharmacological properties
Furazolidone has a broad spectrum antimicrobial action. Effective against streptococci, staphylococci, Brucella, Clostridium, Mycobacterium, Trichomonas vaginalis and some microbes resistant to antibiotics and sulfonamides.
Application
For the prevention and treatment of inflammatory processes of different etiology in the uterus, cervix, vagina in large and small cattle (difficult and abnormal births, Caesarean section, operative branch litter, postpartum endometritis).
Batching
Before the introduction of the drug carried out sanitization of the external genitalia and the root of the tail. If necessary, release the uterus from the inflammatory exudate. Enter depending on the evidence in the uterus, the cervix or vagina, prophylactic cattle 2 -4 candles, sheep and goats and 1 candle on the first day after birth – for therapeutic purposes cattle 3-5 candles, sheep and goats 1 – 2 candles every 24 hours for clinical cure (not more than 5 times). Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to furazolidon animals.
Reservation
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed after 2 days after the last injection. Milk obtained from cows, sheep and goats during treatment and for 2 days after the last injection, used in animal feed after boiling.
