Compound

1 ml of the drug contains the active substance:

propranolol hydrochloride – 5 mg.

Pharmacological properties

Propranolol hydrochloride blocks β1 – and β2 – adrenoreceptors, detects membrane stabilizing effect; suppresses lipolysis in the adipose tissue, preventing the increase of the level of free fatty acids increases the secretory and motor activity of the gastrointestinal tract, increases the tone of the muscles of the bronchi and uterine contractility, resulting in accelerated passing of births and separation of the litter, reduces bleeding during childbirth and in the postoperative period, prevents the onset of inflammatory processes genital organs, increases fertility.

The drug enhances spontaneous and caused by uterotonic contractions of the uterus. Reduces bleeding during childbirth and in the postoperative period.

Application  

For stimulation of childbirth, prophylaxis of postpartum complications associated with abnormal contractions of the uterus, fertilization of cows and heifers. As part of complex therapy for the treatment of sow’s syndrome of metritis-mastitis-agalactia.

Dosage

Cows and heifers are administered intra-muscularly, once in a dose of 10 ml per head:

to stimulate normal labor and accelerate the separation of the membranes – at the beginning of childbirth;

to accelerate the involution of the uterus – in the first 24 hours after delivery;

with delayed membranes – 6-8 hours after delivery;

to increase fertility – 10-15 minutes before fertilization.

for the prophylaxis of the syndrome of metritis-mastitis-agalactia in sows – intramuscularly, once immediately after birth in a dose of 5 ml per animal. 

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to propranolol hydrochloride.

Warning

It is not possible to apply the drug simultaneously with neuroleptics and tranquilizers.

There are no restrictions on the use of products from animals that have been injected the drug.

Form of release

Glass bottles are covered with a rubber crust under an aluminum rim of 10 ml and 100 ml. 

Storage

In a dry, dark, inaccessible place for children at a temperature from 0 ° С to 18 ° С.
