Pharmacological properties
The drug has osmotic pressure as in the blood plasma; normalizes the water-salt metabolism of the organism. Potassium ions are the major intracellular ions, and sodium ions are extracellular. The balanced content of these ions ensures the isotonicity of the cells of the body. Potassium increases the tonus of the parasympathetic nervous system and calcium – sympathetic. Sodium bicarbonate raises the alkaline reserve of blood, which prevents the onset of acidosis. Glucose provides replenishment of energy costs.
