A clear, slightly viscous liquid from colorless to light yellow color.
PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS. Chloramphenicol – an antibiotic with a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity, active against most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Shigella spp., Brucella spp., Pasteurella tularensis, Escherichia coli, Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, and rickettsia (Rickettsia spp.), mycoplasma (Mycoplasma spp.), chlamydia (Chlamydia spp.). The mechanism of action of chloramphenicol related with violation of microbial protein synthesis.
APPLICATION. The drug is effective in the treatment of acute and chronic diseases of ears: otitis, eczema and dermatitis of auricle of dogs, cats and rodents.
DOSAGE. In the treatment of ears diseases of animals weighing up to 10 kg drop 3-5 drops of the drug, and weighing more than 10 kg – 7-8 drops in each ear 2 times a day. Before dropping of the drug ears previously clean of dirt, crusts, fluid. Duration of treatment – 3-10 days.
CONTRAINDICATIONS. Increased individual sensitivity to the drug.
PRECAUTIONS. The product is not compatible with antibiotics from the group of quinolones and ristomitsynom, penicillin; inhibits the antimicrobial effect of b-lactam antibiotics.
STORAGE. Dry, dark and inaccessible to children place at temperature from 5°C to 25°C.
Expiration date – 3 years from date of manufacture.
After opening of the bottle drug can be used within 10 days, under the condition of storage in a dark place at temperature from 5°C to 25°C.
