СOMPOSITION

100 ml contains: extract from the roots of white hellebore – 10 g; water-alcohol mixture (70% vol. by anhydrous ethanol) up to 100 ml.

DESCRIPTION. Liquid of light brown color without mechanical impurities with a specific smell.

PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS. In case of internal application of tincture available in it alkaloids irritate  the  mucous  membrane,  increasing  reflex  motility of proventriculus of ruminants and pigs, and for dogs lead to vomiting.

In case of external application drug has insecticidal effect on lice, fleas, tongs, louses.

APPLICATION. The drug is used for ruminants as ruminal agent in diseases of proventriculus (hypotonia, paresis and overflow of scar by feed masses). For pigs and dogs drug is used as an emetic. Externally drug is uesd for the prevention and treatment of animals and poultry in diseases caused by ectoparasites (lice, fleas, tongs, louses).

DOSAGE.Orally with drinking water at doses use:

• chronic  atony  once  to  cattle  2-2.5  ml  per  100  kg  of body weight;
• chronic atony once to sheep and goats 0.7-0.8 ml per 10 kg of body weight;
• tympany of rumen to cattle, sheep and goats aforementioned doses are divided into three parts and set with three hour interval;
• as an emetic to pigs 1-2 ml per animal once; dogs 0.5-2 ml per animal once.

Externally for the prevention and treatment of diseases caused  by  ectoparasites  for  all  kinds  of  animals  and poultry (hens, geese, ducks, turkeys) previously diluted tincture by non-chlorinated water in a ratio of 1:1. This solution  is  applied  (wet)  on  the  hair  (feather)  covering in places of concentration of ectoparasites. After 20-25 minutes this area carefully comb and wash with water and shampoo. Reprocessing is carried out similarly after 8-10 days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS. Do not apply to animals with hypersensitivity to the drug.

Do not use tincture of hellebore to horses and to animals in the last month of pregnancy.

PRECAUTIONS. It is necessary to behave with drug as with substance that has signs of poison! Carefully use during pregnancy and lactation. Store in place inaccessible to children! In case of external application to small animals  prevent  lick  off  the  drug  solution.  Do  not  use with drugs that cause lowering of blood pressure, stimulate the central nervous system, reduce lumbar-striped muscles. In case of overdose occurs great excitement, salivation,  vomiting,  diarrhea,  accompanied  by  severe intestinal  colic.  Breathing  and  heart  rate  are  slowing down, appears paleness of mucous membranes, visual disturbances,  may  occur  skeletal  muscle  rigidity,which changes on clonic convulsions, followed by a collapse. In case of overdose animal is injected subcutaneously solution 1% of atropine sulfate at therapeutic doses.

STORAGE.Dry dark, inaccessible to children place at temperature from 2°C to 20°C in sealed plugged bottles (List B). Do not store together with food, beverages, animal feeds.

Expiration date of the drug – 5 years.
