Transparent colorless liquid.
PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS. Gentamicin – aminoglycoside antibiotic that acts bactericidal on some gram-positive and most gram-negative bacteria, including: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida, and Mycoplasma. Gentamicin exhibits antimicrobial activity by inhibition of protein synthesis in ribosomes microorganisms.
APPLICATION. Treatment of acute and chronic diseases of ears (otitis, eczema and dermatitis of the ear) and infected wounds of dogs, cats, rabbits and rodents ears.
DOSAGE. The drug is dropped at the rate of 2-5 drops in a sore ear 2 times a day. The course of treatment is 3-7 days depending on the course of disease. It is recommended to process simultaneously also the second ear of sick animal.
CONTRAINDICATIONS. Hypersensitivity to gentamicin. Do not use in case of damaged eardrum.
PRECAUTIONS. Not allowed mixing of gentamicin with heparin, vitamin B, penicillins, cephalosporins, erythromycin, sulfonamides.
STORAGE. Dry, dark and inaccessible to children place at temperature from 5°C to 25°C.
Expiration date – 2 years from date of manufacture.
After opening of the bottle drug can be used within 10 days, under the condition of storage in a dark place at temperature from 5°C to 25°C.
