Homogeneous  sterile  suspension  of light yellow or light brown color.

PHARMACOLOGICAL  CHARACTERISTICS

The active substance of the drug is ceftiofur hydrochloride that belongs to a group of cephalosporin antibiotics of the third generation and is characterized by a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (including beta-lactamase-producing strains), as well as against some anaerobic bacteria: Escherichia coli, Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus  somnus,  Actinobacillus  pleuropneumoniae, Haemophilus  parasuis,  Salmonella  cholerasuis,  Streptococcus  suis,  Streptococcus  zooepidemicus,  Pasteurella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Actynomyces pyogenes, Salmonella  typhimurium,  Streptococcus  agalactiae,  S. dysgalactiae, S. bovis, Klebsiella spp., Citrobacter spp. , Enterobacter spp., Bacillus spp., Proteus spp., Fusobacterium  necrophorum,  Bacteroides  melaninogenicus and others. The mechanism of action of ceftiofur hydrochloride is inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis.

APPLICATION

Cattle:Treatment of respiratory diseases (pneumonia, bronchopneumonia), postpartum endometritis,  mastitis,  necrobacillosis,  arthritis,  sepsis,  and others, including associated, bacterial infections caused by susceptible to ceftiofur microorganisms.

Pigs:treatment of respiratory diseases and others, including associated infections caused by susceptible to ceftiofur microorganisms.

DOSAGE

Cattle – subcutaneously once a day at a dose of 1 ml per 50 kg of body weight (1 mg of ceftiofur hydrochloride per 1 kg of body weight). The course of treatment is: respiratory diseases – 3-5 days, necrobacillosis – 3 days, endometritis – 5 days.

Pigs – intramuscularly once a day at a dose of 1 ml per 16 kg (3 mg of ceftiofur hydrochloride per 1 kg of body weight) for 3-4 days.

Before  application,  the  bottle  with  the  drug  thoroughly shaken.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not apply to animals with hypersensitivity to ceftiofur or other beta-lactam antibiotics. Do not mix the drug with other drugs in the same syringe.

PRECAUTIONS

Slaughter of animals for meat is permitted in 8 (cattle) and 5 days (pigs) after the last application of the drug. Received by the deadline meat fed to unproductive animals or utilize, according to a conclusion of a doctor of veterinary medicine.

Milk from cows during and after the treatment use without restrictions.

STORAGE

Dry, dark, unreachable for children place at temperature from 5°С tо 25°С

Expiration date – 2 yearsfrom the date of manufacture.

After  the  first  selection  of  the  drug  from  the  bottle,  it should be used during 28 days.

PACKAGING

Bottles made of glass or polypropylene closed with a rubber plug under an aluminum cap 50 і 100 ml.

1 ml contains active substances: ceftiofur hydrochloride – 50,0 mg.
