PHARMACOLOGICAL  CHARACTERISTICS

Hypertonic solution of sodium chloride moderately irritates skin receptors,  causing  congestion,  increase  metabolism and several reflexes that are useful to the body. In case of coating on wound surface drug increases lymphopoiesis, improves metabolism, accelerates granulation, due to the osmotic influence contributes removing of manure and wound secretions. Iintravenous application of 10% sodium chloride solution increases the osmotic pressure of the blood, accelerates removingof toxins and metabolic products, increases diuresis, increases alkaline reserves, reduces intoxication, improves  the  function  of  blood  circulation  organs,  increases overall body tone, improves motor and secretory activities of the stomach, proventriculus and intestine, increases  muscle  tone  of  the  uterus,  stimulates  autonomic innervation, activates redox processes in tissues. Sodium  chloride  maintains  and  regulates  the  osmotic processes and fluid content in the body, reduces spasm of vessels, affects blood-stopping and raises blood pressure.

APPLICATION. Externally  solution  of  sodium  chloride 10% is used in form of compresses and lotions for the treatment of septic wounds. Intravenously drug use in case of hypotension and at ony of proventriculus, paresis of scar muscle, overflow and books blockage, acute gastric dilatation of horses ,  chymostasis,  coprostasia,  contamination  of  intestine (preferably  with  glucose).  As  a  drug  itisprescribed  for lung, stomach and intestinal bleedings and to increase diuresis; use for the removal of intoxication, encephalitis, myoglobinuria,  laryngeal  edema.  In  obstetric  practice, 10%  sodium  chloride  solutionapply  foracceleration  the removal of heam.

DOSAGE

Single dose of the drug for intravenous injection ml per animal:

horses 200 – 300;

cattle 150 – 250;

goats, sheep, 20 – 30;

dogs 4 – 6.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

At recommended doses does not cause side effects and complications. Application of hypertonic solution of sodium chloride 10% does not exclude application of other medicines. Use with caution in case of renal failure.

PRECAUTIONS

Animal products during and after application of hypertonic solution of sodium chloride 10% are  used  without  restrictions.  In  case  of  frequent  appointments on the wound sodium chloride is absorbed, irritates the wound and impairs healing of it. In case of subcutaneous  or  intramuscular  injection  drug  causes tissue necrosis.

STORAGE. Store in a dry place, inaccessible to children at temperature from 0°C to 18°C.

Expiration date of the drug – 3 years from manufacturing date.
