PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS.\u00a0<\/strong>Lerafen \u2013 anthelmintic broad-spectrum drug, consisting of active substances rafoxanide, fenbendazole and levamisole hydrochloride. The mechanism of action of rafoxanide is the inhibition of process of oxidative phosphorylation and mitochondrial synthesis of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the change in the energy balance of parasite that causes the death of worms. Fenbendazol inhibits enzyme system of worms, which also leads to disrup\u00adtion of energy metabolism and causes the death of the parasites. The mechanism of action of levamisole hy\u00addrochloride is related to its effect on the neuromuscular system and inhibition of enzymes of parasites, leading to paralysis and death of worms.<\/p>\n Lerafen effective against mature trematode family Par\u00adamphistomatidae and their larvae (over 6 weeks of age).
