Application:
Per os in combination with dry or wet fodder. Treatment of pigs, poultry and rabbits, usually take place by the group method by mixing a daily amount of feed with the drug. For pigs – 300 - 350g of the ultraseprol should be mixed with 100 kg of feed for poultry and rabbits it is 400g of the drug.

Composition

100 grams of the drug contains active ingredients (g):
Norsulfazol – 8,0;
sulfadimezin – 7,0;
trimethoprim – 3,0;
oxytetracycline hydrochloride – 4,5;
tylosin tartrate — 2,5.

 

Pharmacological characteristic

Norsulfazol is well absorbed in gastrointestinal tract, so it has systematic effect. Sulfadimezin is almost not absorbed, it reaches a high concentration in the intestine, where has a good local effect. Trimethoprim sulfonamides is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Antibiotics oxytetracycline and tylosin have a high bacteriostatic effect, so the drug has a wide range of bactericidal and bacteriostatic action, including microorganisms which are resistant to common antibiotics and chemotherapeutic agents. In the spectral range of the drug – Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacter spp. etc.), Gram-negative bacteria (E. colli., Bordetella spp., Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Pasterella spp., Proteus spp., Campylobacter), Mycoplasma spp. and others, as well as some protozoa and big viruses.

 

Indications

For the prevention and treatment of animals and poultry with primary and secondary bacterial infections of the respiratory, digestive and urinary tracts that is: the upper respiratory tract catarrh, pneumonia, enteritis, cystitis, mastitis, septicemia, postnatal complications, and a number of specific infections:
– Calves – Salmonella gastroenteritis kolibatselyarny, pasteurellosis, vibriosis;
– Pigs – enzootic pneumonia, arthritis, dysentery, edematous disease erysipelas, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis;
– Sheep – septicemia, eymerioz, contagious agalactia;
– Poultry – typhoid, cholera, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, rhinitis.

Dosage

For all species the daily dose is 1.0-1.2 g per 10 kg body weight. Daily dose is given in two steps. Depending on the disease the first dose of ultraseptol can be increased by 30-100%. Course of treatment should be provided until complete disappearance of symptoms and can be continued for 1-2 days more.

 

Contraindications and Precautions

Ultraseptol should not be used for animals with liver and kidneys diseases. Never apply to cows and layers.

Slaughter of animals and poultry for food purposes is allowed in 8 days after the last application of the drug.
