Description

White oil suspension.

Composition

1 ml of the product contains active agent:

Cefquinome sulphate – 25 mg.

Additional agent: solvent – up to 1 ml.

Clinical pharmacology

Cefquinome sulphate is an antibiotic that belongs to the group of IV cephalosporin generation. It inhibits the synthesis of the microbial cell wall. It shows bactericidal action against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Е. coli, Citrobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., Serratia marcescens, Haemophilus somnus, Arcanobacterium pyogenes, Bacillus spp.,Corynebacterium spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bacteroides spp., Clostridium spp., Fusobacterium spp.,PrevoteIla spp.,Actinobacillus spp., Erysipelotrix rhusiopathiae).

Application

Cattle: treatment of animals, suffering from panaritium, hoof sole ulcer, purulent subdermatitis, necrobacillosis between the toes, mastitis, septicemia, as well as respiratory diseases, caused by microorganisms, being sensitive to cefquinome.

Pigs: treatment of animals with MMA syndrome (mastitis-metritis-agalactia), arthritis, meningitis, epidermis, as well as respiratory diseases, caused by microorganisms, being sensitive to cefquinome.

Dosage

IM:

cattle – 1 mg of cefquinome per 1 kg bwg or 2 ml of the drug per 50 kg bwg daily during 3-5 days (in the case of mastitis, the course of treatment is 2 days);

calves – 2 mg of cefquinome per 1 kg of bwg or 4 ml of the drug per 50 kg bwg daily during 3-5 days;

pigs – 2 mg of cefquinome per 1 kg bwg or 2 ml of the drug per 25 kg bwg daily during 3 days (in the case of MMA syndrome, the course of treatment is 2 days);

piglets – 2 mg of cefquinome per 1 kg bwg or 2 ml of the drug per 25 kg bwg daily during 5 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins and B-lactam antibiotics.

Precautions

Shake the bottle thoroughly before application. Use sterile instruments for application.

Withdrawal period

Meat – 5 days (cattle)

3 days (pigs)

Milk -1 day

Meat and milk, received till indicated terms, must be utilized or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of a veterinarian.

How supplied

Glass bottles, closed with rubber corks under aluminum rolling up, per 100 ml with plastic capseals.

Storage

Dry, dark, childproof place at temperature from 2 ˚C to 25 ˚C. don’t freeze.

Shelf life is 2 years.
