DESCRIPTION. A clear, oily liquid from light yellow to yellow color.

PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS. ATCvet classification Code QP53A – ectoparasitic drugs for local application (QP53ÀÑ04, permethrin).

The active substance of the drug – permethrin – (3 phenoxyphenil) methyl ester of 3-(2,2-dichlorethenyl)-2,2-dymetyltsyklopropancarbone acid – contact insecticide from the group of synthetic pyrethroids with prolonged action.

Permethrin has detrimental effect on acariforme (itch) and parasitiforme ticks and insects of dogs and cats. Due to its inhibition of cholinesterase with permethrin occurs toxic accumulation of acetylcholine at cholinergic neurohormones nerve endings, which results in fleas and ticks death.

After application to the skin of the animal drug is rapidly distributed throughout the body surface, accumulates in the epidermis and sebaceous glands of the skin of the animal, providing protection against ectoparasites within 3-4 weeks.

APPLICATION. Externally for dogs and cats from 10 weeks of age for the treatment and prevention of diseases caused by parasites, fleas (Ctenocephalus spp.), mallofaga (Trichodectes canis), lice (Linognathus spp.), itch ticks (Notoedres cati, Otodectes cynotis), parasitiforme (ixodes) ticks (Dermaceptor spp., Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus spp. al.), as well as to protect the animals from their attack.

DOSAGE. Externally. The drug is applied to the entire surface of the pre-tousled hair (in the area of the body) at the rate of 3-6 ml per 1 kg of body weight by pressing the plunger spray – 5 presses (0.5 ml) for bottles containing 300 ml; for bottles containing 300, 500 and 1000 ml – press one (0.5 ml).

When spraying keep a bottle with medication upright. The drug is applied against the hair; hair of long-haired animals should be combed with a brush, trying to put the drug so that it gets on skin.

The course of treatment of animals is carried out when necessary, but not more than once a month. In order to prevent fleas reinvasions of animals change their bedding or process them with insecticide in accordance with the instructions for its use.

Bedding and care items of animals process at the rate of 2 ml per 1 m2. In order to prevent fleas attack cats and dogs should be treated every 5 weeks.

The treatment of dogs against parasitiforme ticks is carried out once every two weeks (spring – autumn), treatment against fleas – at least once every 1.5 months.

CONTRAINDICATIONS. Do not use for sick, exhausted animals; during pregnancy and lactation; puppies and kittens under the age of 10 weeks of age, the dogs weighing up to 1 kg and animals sensitive to the components of the drug.

PRECAUTIONS. While processing animals prevent the falling of the drug on the mucous membranes and inside. After processing wash your hands with warm water and soap. In case of accidental getting on the skin or mucous membranes immediately rinse it with running water, with the drug inside – seek immediate medical attention.

It is not allowed for 72 hours after treatment to bathe and stroke the animals. Avoid lick off the drug from the skin after treatment.

STORAGE. Dry, dark place at the temperature from 2°C to 30°C. Do not store together with food, drinks and animal feeds. Keep out from children.

Expiration date – 2 years from the date of manufacture.
