Description

Cylindrical bevelled edge tablets with a flat surface from light yellow to yellow color (impregnation is possible on a surface of tablets).

Composition

1 tablets (0,8 g) contains API:

oxytetracycline HCL                                        – 250 mg.

Excipients: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, carboxymethylcellulose sodium salt, magnesium stearate.

Oxytetracycline hydrochloride – bacteriostatic antibiotic mechanism of action of which is to initiate protein synthesis when exposed to the ribosome, as well as to reduce the permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of sensitive microorganisms. The drug has a wide spectrum of action on gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Bordetella, Clostridium spp., Haemophilus spp., E. coli, Pasteurella spp., Proteus spp., Pseudomonas spp., Salmonella spp., Campylobacter as well as mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma spp.), rickettsia (Rickettsia spp.) and chlamydia (Chlamydia).

Application

Calves (up to 3 months), pigs, dogs, cats and poultry (broiler chickens, chickens, turkeys, ducks): treatment of diseases of the respiratory system, digestive tract and genitourinary system, caused by oxytetracycline-susceptible microorganisms.

Dosage  

Calves, dogs, cats and pigs: individually or by group method with feed at the following dose: 1 tablet/10 kg of bwg twice a day during 3-7 days;

Chickens, turkeys and ducks: individually or by group method with feed at the following dose (as to API): 20-50 mg / kg, twice a day during 3-7 days.

When using the group method, the tablets should be carefully crushed and mixed with feed.

Contraindications

Animals with hypersensitivity to tetracycline drugs.

Animals with liver and kidney disorders.

Ruminants with functionally developed forestomach.

Concomitant use with cephalosporins, penicillins, tylosin, erythromycin and sulfonamides.

Withdrawal period

Meat – 10 days

The meat received before the indicated term is utilized or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian.

Bags from polymer film per 100 tablets in carton packages; blisters №10х10 in carton packages.

Storage

Dark, dry, childproof place at temperature from 5 tо 25°С.

Shelf life is 2 years.
